I don’t know what it is about this makeup tutorial but I have absolutely fell in love with it. I guess I like the fact that the makeup does make a difference but it looks so natural. I just love it! The lips really complete this look.
Seriously, it is way too hard to find a drugstore foundation that matches perfectly with my skin tone. I know that I have a yellow undertone but my friend told me that I have a pink undertone on my face. I found that kind of weird but I do see it. My face contrasts with my neck a lot so I can’t find a good foundation to match >_<. I feel like L’oreal’s true match foundation is the easiest so far. I just wish other companies would tell me if their shade is warm or cool.
For some reason this makeup tutorial really caught my eye. I kinda wanna cosplay just so I could do this. Or I could just wait until Halloween O:
I hate it when makeup gurus on youtube tell us about their favorite skin care products and/or makeup products and they’re all high-end products. Like, I don’t have money to buy products from Lancome, Laneige, Skinfood, or Sephora. It bothers me because they say it like it only costs $3 when it really costs $42. “I’m using my favorite foundation from Makeup Forever”. Like, what? You want me to spend $50 on foundation? They should do more tutorials w/ drugstore products. That’s all I’m saying.
Today I bought powder foundation, concealer, tinted moisturizer, and a foundation brush. I was so happy. Oh gosh, I’m so gay. lol.
I know this post is kind of random, but I’ve been feeling the need to make more original posts of my own instead of just reblogging every little thing I see on Tumblr. As you can see, the post will be about the stuff I use to make me, me. Here we gooooooo!!!

This took up most of my computer desk. Crazzzzyyyy!
Seeing how you guys won’t be able to see all the products from one picture, I decided to split them up into four categories: Makeup, Acne, Hair, Body.
Let’s start with Makeup:
It’s not very big but it works for me. I’m very cheap when it comes to makeup just because makeup is very expensive in general. I’m pretty much a drugstore guy when it comes to make up. Products I use: Makeup sponges ($1), Olay moisturizer for SPF, Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturizer w/ Salicylic Acid ($5), Maybelline Super Stay Foundation in Sand Beige ($10) and Maybelline Mineral Power Finishing Veil Translucent Powder ($8) Rimmel Fix & Perfect Primer ($7), and Phillip’s Milk Of Magnesia as an oil mattifier ($3).
Time for my Acne regimen:
Rite Aid Brand Cleanser 8oz ($5) (I thought that was an awesome product! Works just as well as Neutrogena’s cleanser but you get 2oz more product for 2 dollars less. Downside is that it doesn’t smell like Neutrogena’s cleanser. It smells more like baby powder. You should surely get this if you’re big on saving money and you don’t mind smell that much), St Ives Apricot Scrub ($3), Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner ($6), Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque ($3) (This product is AMAZING! It helps with blemishes and pores and is VERY inexpensive! One of those Bang-for-your-buck products), Rite Aid brand Face Towels for makeup removal ($4), two bottles of tea tree oil ($12) (Luckily I got this on sale at GNC buy one get one half off. Feels so refreshing when I combine this with my moisturizer and helps clear my acne fast), Clearsil Benzoyl Peroxide ($6), GNC aloe vera gel so my acne doesn’t scar if it pops ($2), Pantothenic Acid 500mg ($12?) my friend gave me this. It really helps but the pills are HUGE. These products have lasted me for almost 6 months and I’m only half way finished with them. These are my life-savers.
Hair Care:
Two (2) jars of TRESemme mud masques ($5 each). (These are amazing. They are very cheap for the amount of product they give you and it smells AMAZING! However, it was quite a challenge for me to find this product. In the area I live in, it can be challenging certain products and this was one of them). TRESemme Heat Tamer Spray ($5) (I got this on sale at my local Walgreens for 4.49 or 4 for 15. Yay for me!) Hair dye brush ($1) from Sally’s Beauty Supply, Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Color in Golden Brown ($6) from Target. Love this hair dye to death. Lifted my black hair 5 levels and is very inexpensive. For shampoo, I use a Keratin Shampoo/Conditioner to help my hair gain some protein back after all the dyeing and heat damage. My hair feels soft now thanks to that! I got two HUGE bottles for $15 each. Luckily my mother is the one that gets this and I don’t have to spend money on it. I wouldn’t normally get this, but it’s nice to have a luxury product, especially if I’m not the one buying it.
Body Care:

A bonne milk power lightening lotion ($30…) My hair stylist ripped me off so much. Normally, I would never pay THIS MUCH for lotion but I wanted a lightening lotion and this was imported from the Philippines. I later found out it’s only worth $3 US dollars even with shipping. I will not be purchasing this again. Bath & Body Sprays (3 for $10) I got these on sale! They smell great and are worth their price. Can you believe they’re worth 6 dollars individually?! Crazy!, Can’t forget my Vaseline! I got this jar a looooong time ago that I can’t even remember the price. For soap, I use Belo Beauty’s Whitening Soap. I get it at my local Filipino store for 4 dollars. It really does help lighten my skin and it lasted me 2 months. I recently re-purchased it.
Well, that’s the end of this post. Let me know if you guys are curious about anything!
Let’s start off with the reason why I’m making this post. I wear makeup like foundation, concealer, and powder because I have a lot of acne scars on my face and I have really bad self-esteem issues when it comes to my acne. How I wish I didn’t have to worry much about it like some of my friends, but I learn to deal with it. Anyway, I don’t go overboard with my make up such as putting on eyeliner or whatever because I like the natural look. I cleanse/moisturize, put an oil mattifier (I have really oily skin which is annoying lol), a primer, foundation, concealer, and then powder to set it all together. I love putting on my makeup in the morning because it makes me feel so good and happy. However, I have to hide all this stuff from my parents because they would get on me if they found out I wear makeup. It’s pretty annoying how people think guys can’t wear makeup. It also doesn’t mean you’re gay if you’re a guy wearing makeup. Sure, makeup was intentionally made for girls but there has never been an ad or makeup product saying “MADE SPECIFICALLY FOR GIRLS, NOT MEN.” Besides, It’s not like I’m doing anything bad. This is helping with my self-esteem issues and it’s just a natural look. It took a lot of courage for me to go to the makeup aisle and browse through the products and then pay for them. It all payed off and I’m loving it :)
